I planning to get mortgage preapproval (paper which states how large credit they allow me to borrow) from Chase. Their credit report with Arizona representative said what they gonna do some kind of "soft" request to credit bureau , so it does not hurt my credit score. Just want to check with you guys , is such thing ask "soft" request exist ? A: Yes they can do that, its called a soft pull or account review. It shows only on credit reports issued to you, it doesn't show on credit reports to lenders and doesn't affect you credit score at all. If you don't have any account with CHASE they will need your authorization or a pre-approval application.
Make sure you get in writing from them that they will do a soft pull. requesting free credit report once you apply or give them credit report with Arizona permission to pull your credit they could do a hard pull just to get your score down and prevent you from getting a better offer credit report with Arizona from some other bank.
